I love that when I come home he is so excited to see me.  Almost like I have been gone for 10 days and returned from the extended trip just in time to take him outside to pee. 

I also love that he is, right now, rolling around in the floor playing with a moth.  He makes "friends" with them and it flies around, he bats it down and puts it in his mouth.  Sometimes he forgets how fragile they are and rolls around on them.  At that time, he finds it's better to just eat them and go on with his day.

He's recently started this thing where he thinks that he gets a treat every time he goes outside...whether he uses the bathroom or not.  I think that's probably our fault because we are trying to teach him that he can't run all over the place like a wild animal if he gets outside without his leash on.  It's working, but this is another of the side effects of treat training. 

I can't believe my little boy will be ONE year old on the 28th...where has the last year gone??

New Computer, New Month

I am so excited to have a new computer. Thank you Wal-Mart and the super nice guy back in Electronics. He was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise hateful, rude and not helpful department. And if one more person cuts me off, walks in front of me so I have to bow up to stop, pushes their buggy in my ankle or pushes their buggy to block the products I am looking at...I will lose it on them. Happy Friday!! (And three day weekend woot)

My ring arrives...

Well. Kinda. This ring is the ring I chose when we went to pick up the ring from The Getting Place.

Shawn called and told me it was in when I got off work at 4...but the lady leaves at 5 so we had to hurry. We got there and she pulls the ring out...hold your breath.

A diamond is still missing.  Go ahead.  Gasp if you want to, giggle, curse, smack your forehead. I did two of the four actions. You can guess which ones.

There was a ring in the display case that I liked so I asked to see it. It is a little loose but come on...I am not sending the old ring off again. Who knows when it will come back!  Nor am I sending this one off. 

I will take this one somewhere else to be sized...while I am standing there. Whew.

* for the record Shawn ok'ed the switch. The lady even admitted if it was already loose it would probably keep losing them.*

Bubblicious

Just started chewing another glorious piece of mt bubblicious grape gum...bliss.

Unfortunately, the flavor will be gone by the time I finish this post...sadness.

Why do I do this to myself?

Reflect

Over the last 10 years, our soldiers have fought, lost their lives, had to deal with unimaginable images/suffering/lifestyles, and all because one man thought that it would be a good idea to blow up American property. I am terribly sorry that we had to kill someone, but keep in mind how many lives were lost because of his terrorism.

Keep in mind our soldiers - don't let this be in vain. They have fought for all of us; they will continue to do so because they love America and they love her people. Take pride in where we live, don't trash this because of political ambitions/motives.

I am proud to be an American. I'm proud to call this country home. I am grateful for all of the soldiers that have fought and lost their lives (including those that didn't perish) for me.

Thank you to all of my friends in the military - you may not here it often enough, but I appreciate you.

Lightning

Last of my lightning videos before it got too bad to be outside. We didn't get nearly the same amount of crazy weather as everyone else.
