My ring arrives...

Well. Kinda. This ring is the ring I chose when we went to pick up the ring from The Getting Place.

Shawn called and told me it was in when I got off work at 4...but the lady leaves at 5 so we had to hurry. We got there and she pulls the ring out...hold your breath.

A diamond is still missing.  Go ahead.  Gasp if you want to, giggle, curse, smack your forehead. I did two of the four actions. You can guess which ones.

There was a ring in the display case that I liked so I asked to see it. It is a little loose but come on...I am not sending the old ring off again. Who knows when it will come back!  Nor am I sending this one off. 

I will take this one somewhere else to be sized...while I am standing there. Whew.

* for the record Shawn ok'ed the switch. The lady even admitted if it was already loose it would probably keep losing them.*

Bubblicious

Just started chewing another glorious piece of mt bubblicious grape gum...bliss.

Unfortunately, the flavor will be gone by the time I finish this post...sadness.

Why do I do this to myself?

Reflect

Over the last 10 years, our soldiers have fought, lost their lives, had to deal with unimaginable images/suffering/lifestyles, and all because one man thought that it would be a good idea to blow up American property. I am terribly sorry that we had to kill someone, but keep in mind how many lives were lost because of his terrorism.

Keep in mind our soldiers - don't let this be in vain. They have fought for all of us; they will continue to do so because they love America and they love her people. Take pride in where we live, don't trash this because of political ambitions/motives.

I am proud to be an American. I'm proud to call this country home. I am grateful for all of the soldiers that have fought and lost their lives (including those that didn't perish) for me.

Thank you to all of my friends in the military - you may not here it often enough, but I appreciate you.

Last of my lightning videos before it got too bad to be outside. We didn't get nearly the same amount of crazy weather as everyone else.

Big Storms

Wow. What a night last night. We had some of the worst storms to ever come through this area and today we are all sitting around making sure that our friends/family are safe. Mother Nature puts on a good show, but I wish she wouldn't hurt us in the process.

Prayers for those in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and any other state affected by the destruction.
